1. When the lights go out, make sure you are prepared

   1. Have portable battery chargers fully charged up and ready for use to charge your phone

   2. Make sure to find your battery or crank radio for emergency updates

   3. When the power goes out, do not open your fridge/freezer unless absolutely necessary

2. If your desktop computer shuts down during a power outage do not attempt to turn it back on until the power is back. Wait until you WiFi is back as well to ensure the least amount of data loss

WWDC is Apple’s yearly event where they show off new software updates for iPhones, iPads, Macs, and more. It’s mostly for app developers, but regular users get a sneak peek at cool new features coming soon. Think of it as Apple’s big preview of what your devices will be able to do next.

WWDC 2025 is a weeklong event starting on Monday June 9th. Our team at Task Troopers will be providing updates on Monday and Tuesday regarding how some of these new changes might affect your devices.

Apple's World Wide Developers Conference takes place in their Main Campus in Cupertino, California, but is streamed live on the Apple Website and YouTube account. We here at Task Troopers are incredibly excited with these new updates. (According to credibly rumors, Apple will be changing the software naming scheme to be similar to car companies, so instead of iOS 19 coming out this year, we will get to see iOS 26!)

We have an important announcement regarding our service availability. Task Troopers will be temporarily closed starting Monday, May 5th, and will reopen on Friday, May 9th.

We understand that this temporary closure might cause some inconvenience, and we sincerely apologize for any disruption it may cause. However, we have an exciting reason for this brief pause in our operations: our team is heading to Dallas, Texas, to attend the prestigious VEX Robotics World Championship! 🎉

Now, you might be wondering, what exactly is the VEX Robotics World Championship? 🤔

Well, it's the largest robotics competition in the world, bringing together top student robotics teams from elementary school all the way through college from across the globe. These incredibly talented students design, build, and program robots to compete in exciting engineering challenges. It's a celebration of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), innovation, and teamwork. Think of it as the Olympics of robotics! 🤖🌍

The VEX Robotics program, managed by the Robotics Education & Competition (REC) Foundation, aims to inspire students to pursue STEM fields through hands-on, engaging robotics competitions. The World Championship is the culmination of a year's hard work, where the best teams come together to test their skills, share ideas, and be crowned champions.

Our team is incredibly excited to be a part of this inspiring event, taking place at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas. We'll be there to learn about the latest advancements in robotics, connect with other passionate individuals and organizations, and bring back fresh insights and energy to enhance our services for you.

The VEX Robotics World Championship 2025 takes place from May 6th to May 14th, with different age groups competing throughout the week. Our team will be attending during a portion of this period to make the most of the learning and networking opportunities.
